Tesla FSD crosses 14 billion miles, and the pace keeps steepening

Tesla's Full Self-Driving fleet crossed 14 billion cumulative miles in the last days of August, per fleet tracking compiled from Tesla's own dashboard data. Write that number down, because it won't be current for long: the 13 billion mark fell on August 3, which means the fleet added a full billion miles in roughly three and a half weeks.

For scale: it took Tesla years to accumulate its first billion FSD miles. The most recent billion took 24 days.

The curve is the story

Milestones make headlines, but the slope is what matters. At the start of 2026 the FSD fleet was logging about 14 million miles a day. By late April it was 29 million. Europe joins the tally

The 14 billion figure is no longer a North America story. Tesla's European fleet passed 100 million FSD kilometers (about 62 million miles) by late August, only months after regulators began approving the feature there. South Korea alone has contributed more than 50 million kilometers.

New regions matter more than their raw numbers suggest. Every market adds road geometries, signage conventions, and driving cultures the model hasn't mastered, and the recent v14 point releases show how quickly that data flows back into the build your car actually runs.
