Saving a new AI wrap used to pause for a second or two before My Designs opened. The studio now gets the save ready while you look at your wrap, so tapping Save mostly just sends it, and My Designs shows your car sooner. Phones and computers both get the speed-up.
Sometimes the AI image filter stops an idea, and the same words get stopped every time. Frunky now tells you that plainly instead of asking you to try again, and offers to change the idea for you so it paints. A wrap that doesn't come back never uses one of your wraps. And before you sign in, you can type your idea to Frunky and he'll pick it right back up once you're in.
Design a wrap for your Tesla between Nov 1 and Nov 30 and enter it in the Wrap Cup. Cybertruck, Model Y, and Model 3, S and X each have their own group, and first place in each wins 45 AI wraps. Save a wrap, tap Enter the Wrap Cup, then share it on X. Everyone signed in gets one vote per car group. Free to enter.
From November 1 through Thanksgiving, the homepage and gallery sit on a hand-drawn autumn rooftop at FrunkLab. Turkeys fly past the harvest moon on rocket boosters, the orange and red trees are drawn in glowing laser lines, and the pie is cooling next to a steel pumpkin. It shows on wide screens, after the Halloween lab wraps up on October 31.
When Frunky finishes a wrap on your phone, the big button now says Download for my Tesla. One tap saves it to My Designs and downloads the file, ready for the Tesla app. No more saving first and scrolling to find Download.
Add a photo of your kids, your dog or your road trip and it goes on the car exactly as it is, on the hood, the doors or the rear. Pick the spots, then describe a background for the AI to paint around it, or leave it empty and place your photos for free. Frunky can now see the photos you add, and you can paste or drop them straight into the chat. You can also add up to 6 photos instead of 3, at no extra cost.
On a computer, the panel beside the 3D car is now Frunky's. Type an idea and press Generate, or tap Ask Frunky and he helps you shape it right there, with your car picker above him. Minimize him any time and the conversation is still there when you come back. The wraps for your car now run in a row under it, with arrows to flip through them.
The gallery now opens on the most downloaded wraps. A seasonal chip sits next to the car filters: Halloween through October 31, then Fall through Thanksgiving, then Holiday through the end of December. Pick up to three filters at once, like Model Y, Model 3 and Halloween.
On the Model Y L, characters and words the AI painted on the lower part of the liftgate could come out upside down on the car. The Model Y L template draws that panel the other way round from every other Tesla, and the AI now knows it. Paint a fresh wrap to get the fix; wraps you already made stay as they are.
Out of free AI wraps? If your phone or browser has Apple Pay or Google Pay, that button now comes first: one tap, confirm with Face ID or your fingerprint, and your wraps land while your design stays on screen. No forms to fill in. Browsers set to Chinese also get a WeChat Pay button.
Download Reel now has a Vertical option next to Square, on your Design Hub and on every wrap page. The 1080x1920 video is made for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, with the FrunkLab badge kept clear of the app's buttons and captions. After you save a design, the Design Hub also suggests the lock chime that fits it best: play it first, tap Set it, or Undo if you change your mind.
Describe a wrap on a model page or inside an article and Frunky now picks it up in the studio: pick your Tesla (the picker starts on that model if we don't know yours yet), answer one quick question, and he paints it. Tapped through his quick questions before you had an account? Frunky now looks over your quiz answers after you sign up and writes a better prompt before he paints. From November 1 through December 31 the idea chips and Frunky suggest snowy forests, northern lights, frost patterns, holiday lights and pets in cozy sweaters.
Illustrated Christmas scenes for the Cybertruck, Model X and Model S: a snowy village at night, a toy-soldier parade, a frosted pine forest, tangled holiday lights and a peppermint candyland. Model 3 and Cybertruck owners get three new fall scenes, and the Model S gets a gold art deco peacock. Six new pages gather the holiday, fall and luxury wraps for each of those cars.
Add your YouTube, TikTok and Instagram to your creator page so fans can find you everywhere. Share your page opens a card with a link for each place you post, a ready caption for your video description and an image to go with it. Only you see a new stats panel on your page: visits and where they came from, wrap views, downloads, likes and new followers for the last 30 days.
Thirteen brand new lock chimes made from scratch: a villain brass march, spooky 80s funk grooves, a creepy harpsichord with finger snaps, a twinkling music box and a calm AI voice that announces your car is locked. Every one is under five seconds and ready for the USB drive. Search for "original" in the library to hear them all.
After Frunky paints a wrap, give it a thumbs up or down. If it missed, tell him what went wrong in a tap or a few words. Every rating goes straight to the team and helps Frunky paint better wraps.
A new scene for every wrap, in honor of the Roadster reveal: your car hangs upside down from the top of a half loop in a clean white arena, spotlights aimed up at it. The track glows in clean white by default; pick any light colour scheme, or RGB for a rainbow. Choose Stunt Loop from the scenes under the car in the studio or on any saved design.
Remix with AI on a gallery wrap now opens the studio and asks which car the remix is for before anything paints. It starts on your car if we know it, otherwise on the wrap's own car. Then Frunky opens on that wrap, shows the car he is painting for, and paints it on the car you picked.
When Frunky finishes a wrap in the studio, a save button lights up in the top corner of the 3D view and drops down Save wrap, Save and create new, and a download button that saves your wrap and hands you the Tesla file in one tap. You can keep spinning the car or ask Frunky for a change while it's open. Frunky also stops asking about backgrounds, since the scene picker sits right under the car.
The homepage night is now a FrunkLab rooftop lab: glowing vials and beakers, a sparking coil, a robot spider on a neon web, and pumpkins made of steel, clear plastic and glowing wireframe. The witch kept her moon but her broom got rocket boosters.
On the homepage and in the gallery, Chat with Frunky and the prompt box now open the studio, where you pick your Tesla first. Frunky then looks over your idea, asks one quick question, and paints it when you tap Generate, for the car you chose. Want to remix a wrap? Open it and tap Remix with AI.
The homepage and gallery hero now sit in a hand-drawn autumn night: a witch across the full moon, friendly ghosts, a black cat and a pile of pumpkins. Look closer and the jack-o-lanterns glow cyan and the ghosts leave a trail of pixel dust. It shows on wide screens until early November.
Frunky now floats on every gallery page. Open him on a wrap you like and he is ready to remix it: tell him what to change and he paints your version in the studio. Remix with AI opens the same chat.
Load any wrap in the studio, or pick one on the car in the gallery, and Frunky now sees it. Tell him what to change, like swap the bills for gold coins or make it matte black, and he repaints it from that wrap instead of starting over. Tap the plus button to add the wrap to the chat, or start fresh any time.
Before he paints, Frunky now asks which Tesla the wrap is for, then the year or trim, so a wrap never lands on the wrong car. Tell him it is your daily driver and he remembers it, and every AI box, Remix and the studio start on your car. Your car shows next to Generate with a quick way to change it.
Frunky now paints short words you ask for, like HAPPY BIRTHDAY and a name, in big bold letters. Ask for a famous character and he offers original look-alikes with the same spirit, like a cheerful vintage cartoon mouse with big round ears. He also asks only the two or three questions that matter for your kind of idea, a character, words for an occasion, a pattern or a clean color, and picks the rest for you.
Tell Frunky your idea and the ready prompt shows up right away, with one quick question about what would help most, like your colors or a big character on the hood. Anything he picked for you is marked Frunky's pick so you can change it, and all through October his ideas lead with Halloween. Ask for a team logo or words and he tells you up front that he can't paint them, then offers your colors with an original mascot instead. Backgrounds now come after the paint, and on a phone you pick one right under your finished car.
If you run out of AI wraps mid-idea, Frunky keeps it on his card, and if you pick a pack he paints it as soon as your wraps land. Ask him what things cost or how many wraps you have left and he answers straight: free AI wraps every month, then one-time packs that never expire, with no subscription. Not signed in yet? Tap through his quick questions first, then sign in and he paints your idea for free.
Press Generate anywhere on the site, on a phone or a computer, and the studio opens and starts painting right away instead of waiting for the editor to load. On a phone the homepage garage appears sooner, the gallery shows its search and filters at once, and the lock sound library scrolls more smoothly. After you save, your design page opens with your wrap already on the car, and a new AI wrap gets its name while it saves, so saving is quicker.
There is one place to design now: the studio, with your Tesla live in 3D right beside the wrap template, so every change shows on the car as you make it. The 3D garage stays on the homepage and the gallery, and every saved design can still sit in a scene like the Cyber Garage or the Cabin. Old Garage links open the studio with the same car.
Want a grinning clown on the hood, koi fish down the doors or a skeleton crew along the sides? Frunky now asks if you want any characters and helps you design them, with ideas that fit your vibe. Ask for a famous character and he makes an original one with the same feel.
Making a wrap on your phone is quicker. Going from the homepage, the gallery or any AI prompt box to the studio no longer reloads the whole page, and after you save, your design page appears right away instead of a blank screen. Turning your phone sideways in the studio no longer clears your design, and wrap pages go easier on your battery while you read. On a phone, chatting with Frunky in the studio now starts with close to half less to download, and the screen stays still while he says hello.
Not sure what to make? Every AI prompt box on the site now has a Chat with Frunky button that turns it into a chat: he asks a few quick questions, writes the prompt, and Generate takes you to the studio to paint it. On your phone, making a wrap from the homepage or gallery now always opens the studio, where spray cans paint your car and you can save it to My Designs.
While the AI makes your wrap on a phone, your Tesla now waits in the 3D garage and spray cans paint it in puffs of color. You can spin the car while it paints, and the finished wrap wipes on when it is ready. Trying another version paints the car you are looking at.
Frunky's suggestions now change every time you chat, color picks are real palettes shown as paint dots, and two of each set are his own AI picks for what you chose so far. Once your prompt is ready he asks where you want to see your Tesla, with a picture button for every scene. Making a wrap on the homepage or gallery? The spray cans paint the 3D car there too. And on a saved design, "Not sure what to make?" opens a chat with Frunky.
On your phone, "Try the prompt again" now takes you back to Frunky with your prompt ready, so you can ask for brighter colors, a moodier look or anything else, then paint it again. On a saved design, the Download Wrap button now sits right above your wrap file, with a View Gallery button further down.
When you make an AI wrap from the homepage or the gallery on a phone, it now opens right away on a 3D car in the studio, where you can spin it, save it to My Designs or try the prompt again. Before, the picture on the page could not show a brand new wrap.
Frunky is a friendly AI helper in the studio, the Garage and on the homepage and gallery: he asks a few quick questions about the vibe, colors and finish you want, writes the prompt, and you tweak it or tap Generate. The studio now puts your Tesla in 3D in the middle of the screen; tap the flat wrap in the corner to fine-tune it in 2D with layers, text and stickers. While the AI works, spray cans paint your 3D car in puffs of color, then you save it, or save it, post it to the gallery and start a new one. Chatting with Frunky is free, and when you run out of AI wraps you can still browse free community wraps in the gallery.
The studio now shows your Tesla in 3D in its own big box next to the wrap template, and you can switch scenes and light colours right under the car without going full screen. Layers and community wraps open from the toolbar on the left, so the template and the car get more room. The Garage, where you design right on the 3D car, is out of beta.
The top of the homepage and the gallery is now a small garage. Switch between Teslas, flip through community wraps, and change the background, starting in a spooky graveyard for Halloween. Describe a wrap in the box below the car and AI paints it right onto the car you are looking at.
If you bought a pack of AI wraps, a daily limit could stop you after about seven wraps and ask you to come back tomorrow. That limit now grows with the wraps you own, so you can use a whole pack in one sitting.
When you open a saved design and scroll down, a small sparkle button now follows you in the corner of the screen while you have AI wraps left. Tap it, describe your next wrap, and it starts making it for the same car.
The row at the top of the gallery now shows Top Wraps: designs from the community that people have liked or downloaded. It changes every 4 hours and mixes different Teslas, so check back for new picks.
Four new illustrated looks are free in the gallery: a parade of carved pumpkins, dancing skeletons, friendly ghosts over a haunted hollow, and a cozy fall harvest of falling leaves. Model Y owners also get a new page that collects every fall wrap for the car.
We are retiring achievements to keep FrunkLab simple. Every badge and every free wrap you already earned stays on your account, and nothing you hold expires. Every account still gets free AI wraps each month, and once your account is a month old our quick survey still gives you 3 more.
You can now type a wrap idea right on the homepage, the gallery and our articles, pick your Tesla and tap Generate. New here? Make a free account and your wrap starts painting as soon as you are in. Every gallery wrap also has a Remix with AI button: get that design on your own car, or ask for a change.
On an iPhone, a downloaded wrap used to land in the Files app, where the Tesla app could not see it. Now, once your wrap is ready, tap Save to Photos and choose Save Image. Then open the Tesla app and go to Creations, Wrap, Upload.
Wrap packs cost the same and hold a lot more. $9.99 now buys 45 AI wraps, or 50 on your first pack, and $19.99 buys 95. Wraps in a pack never expire, and checkout happens right on the page, so your design stays where it is. There is no subscription: a free account and one-time packs, with nothing to renew.
The notification bell now works on phones, and a new page shows everything in one place, with news about your own designs at the top. When someone downloads or likes one of your gallery wraps you will hear about it, and if a design is not added to the gallery you now get an email that says why. Pick which emails you get from your account page.
After you save, your design page now puts a bright Download Wrap button first, with Submit to Gallery and Create a New Design right under it. On a phone, the wrap you just made now shows on your car in the Cyber Garage, the same scene it is saved with.
Signed out, the Sign up and generate button now always takes you to sign up, even before you type a prompt. When your free wraps for the month are used, tapping the wrap you last made for that car puts it back on the car so you can save it, at no cost. The Enhance and Undo buttons now sit under the prompt box instead of over your words, Undo is easy to spot, your wraps-left count turns orange on your last one, and making a wrap from a photo shows the same paint-shop animation as everything else.
Park your wrap at a cozy cabin in the woods at golden hour, or, until November 15, in a graveyard of friendly ghosts with googly eyes. The diner is now a blue-hour drive-in with your wrap on its big screen, the estate a modern villa with a lap pool, and the campsite a moonlit forest. Every scene loads faster, runs smoother on phones and shows your wrap in its true colors, and from December 1 the outdoor scenes get snow. New designs start in the Cyber Garage in clean white light, and your design page now lets you pick the color of its lights.
An image you uploaded and cropped in the studio for a Cybertruck used to land lower than the template, with an empty band across the top. It now fills the Cybertruck template exactly, like it does on every other Tesla. Text and shapes added with clipping on also start in the middle of the truck now.
Tapping play on a lock sound now loads a small preview, about a tenth the size of the full file, so it starts almost at once on a phone. Downloads are unchanged: you still get the full-quality LockChime.wav your Tesla needs.

The homepage, gallery, wrap pages, creator pages, the studio and the lock sound library now load much less code before they work, so they open faster on a phone. 3D cars stop drawing once you scroll past them, which saves battery. The studio car picker no longer jumps while it loads, and placing art on the car in the Garage responds faster.
Our lock chime instructions pointed to the wrong menu. The setting lives in Toybox > Boombox > Lock Sound, then choose USB, with LockChime.wav at the top level of the drive, and every page now says so. We also published what owners actually download: which Teslas, styles and colors lead, and which lock sounds get played most.
Every official Tesla Paint Shop wrap template now has one page, with which version fits your car and a one-tap link to design on it. Two free tools run right in your browser: a wrap file checker that tells you why Paint Shop is skipping a file and fixes it, and a converter that turns your own MP3, M4A or WAV into a LockChime.wav your Tesla will play.
When your free AI wraps run out, buying more now happens right on the same screen instead of a new tab, and you can pay with your phone wallet in one tap. Your design stays exactly where it is, and the new wraps show up the moment the payment goes through. Your first pack also comes with 5 bonus wraps.
The Garage now asks before switching cars throws away a design you have not saved. Trying a community wrap in the Studio and pressing Undo brings your own design back exactly as it was. Lock sound links from wrap pages find their sounds again, and the AI chime button no longer gets in the way of the sounds behind it. Model S and Model X owners now start on their own car.
Max, Dex and Sienna each drive a Tesla now, and each made six free seasonal wraps for it: neon pumpkins, skeleton mechanics, stained glass, an ugly sweater and more. Every one is in the gallery with its own creator page, and there are new Halloween and Christmas wrap pages for Model Y and Model 3. News and the blog also open on a proper front page with a lead story, top stories and the latest posts.

News, guides and design pieces now carry one of three bylines, one per desk, with an author page listing everything they have written. Articles also get illustrations up top, clearly labelled, and a new editorial standards page explains how stories are sourced, written and corrected. Fresh this week: a wrap care guide, a Boombox guide, a Tesla glossary and Halloween lock sounds.
Describing your wrap on a phone is simpler: style, reference photos and ideas now fold into one row and open only when you tap them. While your wrap is being made you watch your own car fill with color, a little differently each time. After it is done, the two next steps now say exactly what they do.
On a phone, customizing your creator page now keeps your car on the top half of the screen while the settings sit below, so every background, glow or grid change shows up right away. Achievements now show up next to the things that earn them, like your bio, your featured wrap and a lock sound, and Earn free wraps is easier to find in the menu. The survey achievement is now called Backseat Driver.
Answering the survey now earns 3 free AI wraps, and so does getting your first wrap approved in the community gallery. The three starter achievements for generating, saving and downloading your first wrap have been retired. If you already earned them, the badges and the wraps stay yours.
Every lock sound now downloads already named LockChime.wav and is checked against the limits your car needs, so it plays the first time. The library has clearer names, new thumbnails that show each sound, search that finds what you type, and a Download button on every card. Making your own chime with AI is one tap away in the corner.
Voice chimes are now performed, not read. Say who is speaking and how, like "shouted by an angry man" or "in a bubbly, sweet voice", and the line comes back at a natural pace with the right emotion, no long gaps between words and no cut-off last word.
Download Reel now adds the lock sound attached to your wrap as the soundtrack, and the camera sits closer so the car fills the frame on a phone. A card in the top corner names the sound with a wave that moves with it, and the badge in the other corner shows where the wrap came from, with your handle.
Featured creators now share one row at the top of the gallery, and each wrap page shows its comments where the tag list used to be. The pricing page now says exactly what each plan includes, how it is billed, and that you can cancel anytime.
When you submit a design to the gallery, it is now checked automatically and most designs go live within a few seconds instead of waiting days. If a design is not approved you see exactly why on the design page, and one tap asks a person on our team to take a look.
When your free AI wraps for the month are used, the generator now shows the wrap you just made, when your next free wraps arrive, and wrap packs you can buy in one tap. Checkout opens in its own tab, so your design stays exactly where you left it. Answering a few quick questions still earns two wraps for free.
Tapping the heart on a gallery wrap while signed out now shows a quick sign-in with Google or email. Sign up and you land back on the same wrap with your like already added, no second tap needed. Following a creator and commenting work the same way.
The Studio and the Garage now open with a wheel of community wraps made for your car. Click one and it lands on your car, ready to edit. Keep it exactly as it is and Save takes you to its gallery page to download it; change anything and it saves as your remix, with the original creator credited and notified. Published remixes link back to the original.
Your published wrap can now sit in the scene you choose, from the honeycomb-lit Cyber Garage to the campsite, the diner or the city, on its gallery page and your creator page. Pick it from your wrap page or the Design Hub; gallery thumbnails stay the same. Reels can be recorded clean or with your scene around the car. The Garage has a short tour, a FrunkLab cyan and orange light scheme, a shortcuts card, and can save the car you pick as your daily driver.
The Cyber Garage now opens under a framed honeycomb of LED tubes, the look of a real detailing bay, with pale walls and a glossy floor that mirrors the grid. You can see the honeycomb reflected in your car. Add one to your own room from the Lights panel and resize it. The Garage also shows your car sooner, no longer freezes for a moment while it loads, and only downloads another car when you point at it in the picker.
The spinning 3D car at the top of the home page and the gallery now appears in roughly half the time on a first visit, and the page no longer freezes for a moment while it loads. Scrolling past it is smoother too, because it stops drawing when it is off screen. On phones, where the hero shows a picture instead of a live car, the page now skips several megabytes it used to download and never show.
The Model Y and Model 3 pages have 62 new free designs, each made for every version of both cars, from the original Model 3 to the Juniper Performance. The collections are satin stealth black, carbon fiber with red lines, urban digital camo, two synthwave looks, silver with black racing lines, and pearl white with gold. There are also new pages for carbon fiber, luxury and stealth wraps, and guides for the Juniper and the Highland.
Getting your first wrap into the community gallery already earns 2 free AI wraps. Now it keeps going. Reach 3 approved wraps for 2 more, 5 for 3 more, 10 for 5, 25 for 10 and 50 for 20. Your progress is on the achievements page, and wraps you already posted count.
The Garage has a new Campsite: your car in a moonlit clearing in the pines, with a tent and a small campfire that stays out of the way of your wrap. The Showroom now flips between a bright white studio and a black one with a single spotlight. The Garage also runs smoother, diner cars park inside their lines, and the diner signs read the right way round.
After you generate a wrap, on your phone or your computer, we now point out the achievement you can earn next. Get a design approved in the community gallery and 2 free AI wraps land in your account automatically. Once you have that one, the tip moves on to a few quick questions that pay 2 more. On phones there is also a Make your own button pinned to the bottom of the home page and the gallery, so the studio is always one tap away.
The three-row Model Y L used to show up in 3D with empty wheel arches and a white lower body, whatever the wrap looked like. It now has wheels you can swap in the Garage, and its bumpers, rockers and arch trim are black like the other new Model Y trims. Existing Model Y L wraps in the gallery pick up the new look as their previews are refreshed.
The gallery has two new holiday wraps, each made for every Model 3, Model Y, Cybertruck, Model S and Model X. Candy Cane Christmas is bright red with wide white candy-cane bands and a light snowfall. Evergreen and Gold is a deep green with gold snowflakes and a red ribbon over the roof, like a wrapped present. Both are free to download and swap back in January with one tap.
Some browsers cannot start 3D graphics at all, usually because hardware acceleration is switched off or the graphics driver is blocked. On a wrap page that used to mean a black rectangle where the car should be, with no hint why. Now you get the flat wrap image instead, so you can still see the design and download it. The Garage says plainly that it needs 3D and points you at the Studio, which works without it.
If you asked your browser to translate a page, it could crash to an error screen, and the Try Again button crashed it right back. It hit wrap pages and the sign up form hardest, both on phones. Translated pages now keep working. A bit of text here or there may lag behind until you move to another page.
The creator page achievement asks for a bio you actually wrote. Picking an avatar or a page theme is still worth doing, but it no longer earns the two free wraps on its own. Attaching a lock sound has to name a real sound, and downloading your own design from your garage now counts the moment you do it. Nobody loses wraps they already earned.
On a phone you can add reference photos before generating a wrap. Once the wrap was made, tapping Apply dropped you back on the describe screen with nothing to show for it, and you had to find the small Skip link at the bottom to see your car. Now it goes straight to the spinning 3D preview, the same place a normal generation lands, and your wording carries over so Try again works right away.
It used to open only after you had used all three of your free AI wraps, which meant most people never saw it. It is open to everyone, and it asks about what you have actually done: if you have not made a wrap yet, it is three taps and asks what got in the way. Two free AI wraps either way.
It wanted a bio and an avatar and a page theme, all three, and almost nobody had all three. Any one of them now earns it. Nothing is taken away from anyone who had already done the lot.
Downloading a wrap used to open the install steps every single time, which got old fast. They now show once, and after that there is an Install instructions button on every page you can download from, for whenever you want them back.
The badges were stock emoji borrowed from everywhere. They are now drawn for FrunkLab, in the same line weight as the rest of the site, and they light up when you unlock one. Same achievements, same free wraps.
The badges you earn were meant to appear on your public creator page and never did. They do now. Anyone visiting your page can see what you have unlocked, and nothing else from your account goes with them.
Hover the wraps counter in the top bar to see what you have unlocked and what is still going. The same list now sits on your account page, on a saved design, and in both editors, so you never have to go looking for it. Unlocked badges also show on your public creator page.
Saving your first design, getting a wrap into the gallery, giving one a lock sound, setting up your creator page: each one now adds free AI wraps to your account. There is nothing to claim and nothing to opt into. The moment we notice you have done it, the wraps are there, and anything you did months ago counts too. They never expire and they are only spent once your monthly allowance runs out.
Guides and news posts now offer a matching wrap idea partway down, with a one tap link that opens the studio on your model with that idea already typed out. Change a word or two, or just press Generate. Nothing runs until you do.
The editor now tells you when you have one free AI wrap left, instead of letting you find out by hitting a wall. If you do run out, topping up is one tap where you are rather than a trip through another screen. The chime generator explains the same thing properly now: melody and voice chimes stay free every single day, whatever else you have used. And a day after your free wraps run out we send one short email telling you when they come back, which you can turn off from the link in it.
Fork used to do nothing at all if you were signed out. Now it takes you through a quick free sign up and drops you into the editor with a copy of that wrap already loaded, ready to change. Wrap downloads are unchanged and always will be: no account, no email, no waiting. You may see one small card suggesting an account after you download, and it has a Just download button that works instantly.
If you typed a wrap idea and were asked to sign up before generating it, you now land straight back on that idea with your car and your words still there. The same goes for a design you saved while signed out: you return to the editor you were using, not to the gallery. New accounts open in the Studio, because that is almost certainly what you came for. If you were already a member and just signed back in, nothing changes.
The top right of every page now shows how many AI wraps you have left this month, with your purchased tokens beside it when you have any. Hover it for the full picture and the date your allowance refills. You can also opt in to a single email on the 1st of each month telling you your wraps are back, which you can turn on or off any time from your account. Purchased tokens are untouched by any of this: they never expire and are only spent once the monthly allowance runs out.
A generated wrap image now locks into place the moment it lands on your design. It no longer shows resize handles, and it cannot be dragged, stretched or rotated by accident, which used to shift the whole design a few pixels and leave dark slivers along the panel edges on the 3D car. You can still delete it, replace it, or add effects, and the right-click menu offers Unlock if you really do want to move it. Saved designs get the same protection when you reopen them.
The Customize panel on your creator page is now sized for a desktop screen. The page theme previews are large enough to actually see, each with its name underneath, and the ones that move are labelled. Picking your featured car shows the wrap name and which Tesla it is under every thumbnail. The page slides over while the panel is open so the 3D car you are previewing stays in view, and on a phone the panel is a sheet you can swipe through. Colour dials now really do change the theme, the model dropdown under Filter by car is readable again, and the creators directory leads with each creator’s featured wrap.
Your creator page at frunklab.com/@yourhandle now has a Customize button that only you can see. Pick which wrap sits on the 3D car at the top, set the colors of the floor glow and the grid behind it, and choose one of twelve page themes, from a drifting starfield to carbon fiber to a neon floor flying under the page, each with its own color and intensity dials. Everything previews live on the page before you save. Visitors can filter your wraps by Tesla model and trim, and if they have set their own car in their account it is preselected. Pro creators now lead the creators directory.
Grok now joins Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code as an assistant you can connect to your FrunkLab account. Add FrunkLab as a custom connector on grok.com, sign in once, and ask for a wrap or a lock chime in plain words; the result lands in your designs on the 3D car. Developers building on the xAI API can use the same server with an API key from the account page. The AI assistants page has the steps for every client.
Five new collections landed in the gallery, one design per Tesla model: a silver and blue street-racing livery, a Spooky Season wrap in jack-o-lantern orange and purple fog, a red and gold gameday livery with no logos needed, a liquid chrome finish with a colour shift, and an autumn camo in burnt orange, rust and olive. Each one downloads as a ready Paint Shop file or opens in the Studio to remix, and three new wrap-ideas pages opened because of them: Model 3 racing, Model 3 chrome and Model Y camo.
You could attach a reference photo and barely see it in the result. A picture of a clean solid green truck with carbon trim came back as busy green shards. The image was always being sent to the AI, but it was told to treat it as loose inspiration only, so your typed words won every time. Now the photo sets the colours, the finish and how busy the design is, and a plain photo gives you a plain wrap. Leave the prompt empty to match your photo as closely as possible, or write only what should be different.
Ask for a silver and blue wrap and you could get back circuit patterns, zigzags and invented crests you never mentioned, especially across the hood. The generator was being told to fill every panel with rich detail no matter how simple your idea was. Now the amount of detail follows your description: ask for something busy and it stays busy, ask for one thin line down the side of a matte black car and that is exactly what you get. It also stops inventing badges and emblems when you name a car or a film.
Enhance used to rewrite your idea rather than sharpen it: ask for anime with thick lines and you could get back a page of invented colours you never mentioned. It now keeps what you actually asked for, in your own words, and adds far less of its own. If it names a book or film it does not really know, it stays with your description instead of guessing. There is also a proper undo beside the button that puts your own wording back, and it waits until you are ready rather than disappearing after a few seconds.
The style list had plenty of motorsport and texture looks and nothing at all for illustration, so asking for anime tended to come back looking like a race car. Anime, Comic book and Line art are now tappable styles, and they sit first in the list. Reference photos also got a proper button instead of the small grey link that was easy to miss, and they work on your phone for the first time.
Enhance turns a few words into a full design brief, and it used to be rationed: six a month on the free plan, with a counter and a nudge to upgrade. It is now free and unlimited on every plan, and the button sits on all three places you write a prompt, including your phone, where it was missing entirely. It stays grey until you have typed a word, then lights up to show it is ready. If you do not like the result, the confirmation carries an Undo that puts your own words back.
Account settings used to tell you which AI assistants were connected, but not what you had allowed them to do. Each one now lists its permissions in the same words you approved them in, with the ones that can spend your allowance or tokens called out first. Every live connection is listed, including short-lived ones that never appeared before, so anything connected to your account can be seen and disconnected from one place.

The page explaining how to use FrunkLab from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code now sits in the Resources menu and the footer, and answers the questions people actually ask. A new guide walks the whole wrap workflow from a phone: design, download, upload from the Tesla app, apply in Paint Shop, no computer anywhere in it.
Every wrap with a 3D preview now offers three ready-to-post stills at 2560x1440: front, front three-quarter and rear three-quarter. They render on the gallery page and in your Design Hub, so every existing wrap gets them. Comments on gallery wraps can be replied to, and the wrap owner and the person you replied to get a notification. The Download Reel lost its floor grid and sits a little lower, so it reads as a product shot rather than a bird’s-eye pass.
The lock chime generator has three engines. Melody makes a short synthesized jingle. Voice speaks the words you put in quotes, in six styles. Both are free on every plan, 5 a day. Sound-effect chimes (doors, engines, cash registers) stay on the monthly allowance. A Try-as row re-runs your prompt on another engine.
FrunkLab has a remote MCP server. Connect it once, sign in with your FrunkLab account (or a personal API key from your account page), and your assistant can design a wrap, make a lock chime, search the sound library and browse the gallery. Everything lands in your own account and uses the same monthly allowance as the website.
On the pre-2025 Model Y the generator sometimes painted every panel except the hood. The checks that run on each result now catch a single blank panel and quietly try again. Older results keep their hood as generated, so if you have one, hit Regenerate.
A single page covers what Paint Shop is, Tesla’s file rules (PNG, 1024x1024 or 1024x768 for the Cybertruck, under 1 MB), how to upload from the Tesla app versus USB, and what to do when a wrap is rejected. The homepage now carries the same answers and an FAQ.
The Studio’s design step now shows your wrap on a real 3D car that updates as you draw. It sits at the top of the right sidebar by default; drag the header to float it anywhere, or collapse it. The full-screen preview and the scene settings are unchanged.
Both editors open with a floating AI prompt panel: type, generate, and the result lands on the canvas and the car. The generator no longer paints captions, numbers or logos unless you put the words in quotes, and a brand name becomes its colors and materials rather than its logo. Saved designs get a title, description and tags at save time, and the suggested lock chimes now match the wrap’s theme.
After signing up you type the 8-digit code from the email right where you are, and land back where you started. The link in the email still works if you prefer it. If you signed up earlier and never confirmed, logging in now shows the same code step.
The 3D hero now has a tab for each generation, including Model S and Model X. Pick your model on the homepage and you land straight in the studio on that car. The menu is five entries instead of eight, and on phones the gallery’s download button sits within the first screen.
A small share of generations came back the wrong shape and were stretched onto the template. The output shape is now pinned to your model’s template and checked before it reaches you. Older results you re-apply from My Generations are fitted instead of stretched.
On a phone the Studio opens with a prompt instead of a canvas. Describe the wrap, pick a style, and see it on the spinning 3D car. Save it to My Designs, try again, or open the full editor to fine-tune.
A large photo no longer trips the design-too-large error: images are sized to what the template can show, and transparent stickers stay crisp. On 1280x720 screens the Studio toolbox no longer clips its last tools, and the Garage panels no longer overlap. Gallery thumbnails auto-fit the car, and hovering a card shows the flat wrap file.
The whole fleet moved to new 3D models. Model S and Model X preview in 3D for the first time, in the studio, the Garage, the gallery and the showcase. Every 3D preview, thumbnail and reel now has wheels, with a picker in the Garage.
The approval email and the new-design email carry your wrap on the 3D car, with a link to it. Approved designs also get a four-angle showcase card. Sign-in and password emails stay image-free on purpose.
Every chime you generate is kept in My Chimes with a shareable name. Submit one to the community, and once approved it plays on the Lock Sounds page and your creator profile. Attach any chime to a wrap from the Garage or the Design Hub, and the generator is right there in both attach flows.
Describe a sound and download a Tesla-ready LockChime.wav, under 5 seconds and under 1 MB. Put words in quotes and the chime speaks them. Free wrap collections now have their own pages for the Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck, each with style sub-pages.
One-time top-ups of 10, 25, 60 or 400 generations. Tokens never expire, work on every plan including Free, and are spent only after your monthly allowance runs out. No subscription needed.
Your account page shows the renewal date, whether the plan cancels at the end of the period, and a notice if a payment failed, with a grace period before anything changes. Plan switches happen in the billing portal.
One click on the Design Hub gives you a 1080x1080 MP4 of your wrap on the rotating 3D car. The camera walks exactly one full turn, so the loop has no seam when it autoplays on X.
Every designer gets a public profile with their approved wraps, a featured wrap on the 3D car, a bio and an X link. Follow creators, browse the directory, and switch the gallery to Following. Profiles are on by default and can be made private from your account.
With the Brush selected in the Garage, strokes land on the car itself and mirror onto the blueprint. Both erasers work the same way. Each stroke is one undo step.
Every AI image you generate is kept in a My Generations library you can re-apply for free. Objects snap to smart guides, align and distribute in one step, and group with Ctrl+G. The magic eraser gained feathering and despeckle with a live preview. An eyedropper samples colors from the canvas or the 3D car, with saved swatches.
Attach a lock chime from the Garage’s right rail, browse and preview the whole library, and it saves with the wrap. The audio library is now called Lock Sounds, and the install steps now put LockChime.wav at the top level of the drive, where the car looks for it.
The Garage starts on a light grey car instead of black, and the vehicle picker fans every model out on an arc from a card at the bottom of the screen. Panels got a sharper look, and Create Another returns you to whichever editor you used last.
Design on the live 3D car. Click a panel to place text or a sticker and it rotates to read upright on that panel; drag it along the body; switch between Showroom, Night and Neon scenes. Browse community wraps and see each one on your own car before you customize it. Garage and Studio designs are fully interchangeable.
Save Design no longer opens a form. Your design is saved, named by AI in the background, and opened on its own page where title, description, scene and lock chime autosave as you edit. Submit to the gallery from there. A design you start signed out survives signing in.
The community gallery starts with the same live 3D car as the homepage, cycling real wraps. Collapse it and it stays collapsed on your next visit.
The homepage leads with a rotating 3D Tesla wearing real gallery wraps, with a stage switcher (Showroom, Void, Grid) and a glitch transition between wraps. Pick a family and flip through the best designs for it.
Add up to three reference images alongside your prompt and the generator works them into the wrap, faces and all. Any design in My Designs can be downloaded as a Paint Shop file, whatever its status, without submitting it to the gallery.

Tesla’s official templates for the Model S (original and Plaid), the Model X and the six-seat Model Y L are in the studio, with save, review and gallery support. Their 3D previews followed in August.
Photo-heavy wraps used to export over 1 MB and get rejected by the car. Every download now steps down its resolution until the file fits, so it is always accepted.
Reset a forgotten password with a code sent by email, change it from your account page, and set one on a Google-only account. A support form on the account page opens a ticket you can follow up on.
V, B, G and E switch tools, Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y walk the history, and Delete removes the selection. A basic eraser and a magic eraser that removes a color region joined the toolbox, along with horizontal and vertical flip.
Saved designs are tagged automatically so the gallery filters and the matching lock sounds find them. An Enhance button rewrites a short prompt into a fuller brief before generating.
See your design on a rotating 3D model of your exact Tesla before you export. What you draw on the hood in 2D is on the hood in 3D, and the same for every panel.
