Meet the FrunkLab writers: one byline for each desk
FrunkLab articles now carry one of three house bylines, so you can tell at a glance whether you are reading the news desk, a how-to guide or a design piece. Here is who covers what, and how we write.

Starting today, every FrunkLab article carries a byline. Not a generic "FrunkLab" stamp, but one of three house bylines, one for each desk, so you know what kind of piece you are reading before the first paragraph.
They are pen names. Our editorial team writes under them, and we would rather tell you that up front than let you wonder. The point is consistency: each byline has one beat and one voice, and that does not change from article to article.
Max Calder, news
Max runs the news desk: Full Self-Driving (Supervised) releases and approvals, Robotaxi and Cybercab, the Semi, energy storage, the Supercharger network and the software updates that land overnight. His pieces lead with the news in one sentence, put a source behind every number, and stay on the side of progress. This week he covered Croatia approving FSD Supervised and the 2026.38 update.
Dex Moreno, guides
Dex writes the how-to side: getting a wrap onto your car, lock chimes and Boombox, wrap care, costs and the fixes for when something will not cooperate. His guides are built to be followed with the car in front of you, using Tesla's exact menu names. New from Dex: how to care for a wrapped Tesla, the Tesla Boombox guide and a Tesla glossary.
Sienna Park, design
Sienna covers the fun part: wrap ideas by model and by mood, color, seasonal looks, lock sounds with personality and the best designs in the community gallery. Just in time for October, she rounded up Halloween lock sounds.
How our articles are made
Every piece starts from primary material: Tesla's own posts and release notes, regulator decisions, and reporting from established EV outlets. Drafts are written with AI assistance and then read, checked and edited by a person before they go live. News follows a two-source rule, and we link the sources in the article. The pictures at the top of each article are illustrations, and they are labelled that way.
The full version, including how to report a mistake, is on our editorial standards page.
Why bother
Search engines and AI assistants increasingly want to know who is behind what they recommend. So do readers. A clear byline, a clear beat and a clear set of standards answer that question honestly, and they make it easier for you to find more of what you like. If Sienna's design picks are your thing, her author page lists every one.
